Born in 1989 in Vitry Sur Seine, artist-painter Vincent Bardou offers in his paintings his own vision of the world, with a unique and audacious style, a mix of Pop Art and Street Art, Che Gevara, Darth Vador, Pablo Picasso, Nelson Mandela or Mickey share the headlines, each in his own way conveying the artist’s message, whether it is a tribute or a commitment to the current world situation.
Vincent Bardou’s technique is just as unique: he represents characters and animals painted by hand, or certain collages visible on the walls of our cities, thus making this art pass from the street to the canvas. He adds his ultra-coloured touch to it, with a bomb, creating a striking contrast to the eye, the character appearing “stuck” on the background, Portraits of pop-culture stars or great icons, Vincent Bardou always treats his subject with passion and curiosity, as a true witness of his time.
From design to painting
From a very young age, Vincent Bardou was attracted to drawing and quickly drew his inspiration from urban culture and more particularly from graffiti. After starting a career as a designer and draftsman, he decided to devote himself fully to his life as an artist in 2014 and left Vitry-sur-Seine to head south.
