Double-sided resin sculpture – Plexiglass base 25 cm in diameter
The Oursjayet is a kind of pop’art replica of this particular Roman god. Janus is the god of beginnings and ends, of choices, of passage and doors. Surprisingly this representation of Janus in which he is bifroned (with two heads) has a meaning: one side is turned towards the past and the other towards the future. This is how Jayet sees his bear. A wink on the face turned towards the future sends the message “don’t worry, the future can be magical”. The other side, facing the past, with its eyes wide open, expresses “no regrets, whatever may have happened”.
